Bon Jour French Onion Soup
I had a delicious onion soup while in Paris and wanted to recreate it at home. I couldn’t recreate the beautiful backdrop, nor the pretentious service but the soup came pretty close. It also gave me an excuse to buy these cute footed bowls (only $4 at Crate & Barrel).

What are you doing on this cold and dreary Saturday? You are going to make this!!! Seriously this pasta bolognese is insanely delicious!! And while it takes about 3 hours to cook, I spent maybe a total of 40 mins actively cooking (true story: I went to the hair dresser while the meat sauce simmered for 2 hours - my mom was at the house and only had to occasionally stir it).

This is where I’ve been for the past week. My husband and I decided to take a trip across the pond for his 40th birthday and it was wonderful. Beautiful sights and great food makes for a perfect trip. Promise to get a food post up soon.
Warm Your Heart Tomato Soup
There is just something about tomato soup that makes me so happy. Maybe I’m reminded of those cheesy campbell’s commercials I watched as a kid or maybe I just love love love tomato soup on a cold day. Either way it didn’t hurt that this soup was so easy to put together.
